Soils composed of safre and sand.
Wine-making:
Hand-harvested, with sorting in the vineyard followed by sorting in the winery.
Pneumatic pressing of whole bunches. Cold settling overnight at 10°C.
Ageing:
In stainless steel vats for 4 months.
Tasting notes:
The colour is clear and limpid, with powdery hints of rose petals.
The nose is promising, combining floral and exotic fruit notes, enhanced by aromas of blackcurrant and candied lemon.
On the palate, it is rich and expressive, revealing an aromatic intensity centred on orchard fruits and citrus: peach, apricot, grapefruit and blood orange.
Le Caillou rosé offers lovely structure and a supple texture, leading to a mouth-watering, minty finish; it can be enjoyed all year round.
